Hello.
My name is Susan Hatfield.
NMLS #58306
Susan Hatfield has worked in various positions in both financial and mortgage industry since 1997. However, 2003 was the most pivotal point in Susan’s career, her focus shifted exclusively to helping clients obtain home financing. She understands the value and importance of homeownership and wants to help make that dream possible for others. In her years of experience, she has learned to recognize the individual needs of her customers and guide them to the plan that best benefits them financially She often says that one of the most rewarding aspects of her job has been assisting clients long-term financial success.
Susan’s journey with Benchmark Mortgage began in January 2014 as Mortgage Planner at the Richmond KY location. She was drawn to Benchmark’s core values (Success, Positive Attitude, Relationships, Excellence and Dynamic), which specifically focus on their clients. Susan has been recognized at the local level of Benchmark for the “Positive Attitude” and “success” Core Values Award. In 2016, she was awarded the “Excellence” Core Value Award at the corporate level during a Production Trip in Miami, Florida. At the corporate level, Susan is also one of the top 1% loan officers in the country for Benchmark Mortgage. 2017 brought another level of success when she was selected to speak at Todd Duncan’s Sales Mastery Conference in San Diego, California which is geared toward mortgage and real estate. In 2021 she received the “Relationship” Core Value Award at the corporate level.
Susan’s favorite part about being a Mortgage Planner is building relationships with her clients, and she strives to instill that value in her children, Jacob and Sara. They, along with Susan and her husband, Paul, enjoy being involved in their community and church through volunteer projects such as Home Meal Delivery, God’s Outreach Food Pantry, and Madison County Backpack Program, as well as other community based projects. Individually, she is a member of the Berea Heritage Homeschool Co-op. Susan has served as Sunday School Teacher, a Women’s Ministry Leader, PTA member and a site-based council member for Madison County Schools. Susan continuously finds ways to incorporate the spirit of giving into her workplace and community. In addition, she leads a morning bible study for women in the community in her office, a monthly book club, and hosts several Lunch and Learn programs. Susan is also a member of the Berea Chamber of Commerce and is active in the Richmond Chamber as well. She has slowly and deliberately established her office as the go-to place for financial and mortgage planning in her community.
Setting many goals for each year and always meeting those goals gives Susan much pleasure. However, communicating and educating people in our community about mortgage planning, and above all providing outstanding customer service will remain her constant year after year.
